Information Regarding Cross Connection Control Program

Dear Water Customer,

As part of the City of Pilot Point Cross Connection Control Program and Onsite Sewer Program, the City has partnered with SC Tracking Solutions, LLC (SCTS) to provide an online catalog and tracking tool for annual water service Backflow Prevention Assembly and Aerobic System/OSSF reports for commercial businesses, residential properties and educational facilities. This new web-based format will simplify current processes and help ensure that inspections are performed in accordance with local ordinances and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations [30 TAC 290.44 (h) (4)].

Below are the anticipated timelines and actions that will take place in relation to this change:

  • December 1, 2023: Notice will be given to all Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers (BPATs) and Maintenance Provider companies to register for the program through the SCTS web-based tool at www.sctrackingsolutions.com. All testers/providers must be licensed by the TCEQ.
  • December 17, 2023: All Backflow Prevention Assembly Test Reports will be required to be submitted by a registered BPAT through the SCTS web-based tool. All OSSF 4 month reports must be submitted by a licensed maintenance provider.
  • December 27, 2023: Notices will go out to businesses, residents, and educational facilities that have backflow inspections due in the following thirty-five (35) days.  Your letter will include a Catalog Number that has been issued to your address.  This number will be used by a registered BPAT to enter the testing results on the SCTS web-based tool, and can also be used in case you would like to track inspection results online. To view this information, please visit www.sctrackingsolutions.com and use the “Public Access” area of the webpage.

The City of Pilot Point appreciates your help in protecting the quality of our city’s drinking water by having your Backflow Prevention Assembly and Aerobic system inspected and tested. We believe that these changes will not only assist in bringing our community into compliance with local, state, and federal laws, but will also reduce paper waste by up to 90% and will provide an easy way for customers to review testing results and records. If you have any questions about this program, please contact our department representative.

Respectfully,

Trent Vandagriff
