Welcome to the City of Pilot Point's Development Services Department. This section is intended to provide you with general references, answers to common questions, and frequently used forms.

Divisions

The Development Services Department currently consists of four divisions and 6 staff:

The staff of 6 provides internal support to the City Manager, City Council, City Engineer, Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustments, Development Review Department, as well as external support to developers, builders, contractors, and the public.

The Department administers building and miscellaneous permits, plan review and inspections; development records archiving; subdivision platting, zoning and variances; comprehensive planning and research studies; development agreements and annexations; ordinances creation and revisions; development consltation and assistance; impact fee administration; civil plan review and infrastructure inspections; and code compliance services. 

Mission Statement

Our department's mission statement is to provide enhanced economic opportunity, strong neighborhoods, and dynamic quality growth and development through:

  • Collaborative planning to develop and implement creative community-based strategies. 
  • Maintaining development codes that are cohesive, consistent, fair and promote a high quality of life.
  • Ensuring efficient capital project review and inspections.
  • Promoting high quality, positive, timely and facilitative development review and inspection services.
