We strive to achieve excellence in financial reporting and maintain high quality bond ratings. In July 2019, we received the GFOA Budget Award for FY19.  This is the second year we have been given this award by the Government Finance Officers Association.

The City of Pilot Point has earned from the Texas Comptroller's Office the Transparency Stars Award in the area of Traditional Finances.

The government-wide Statement of Activities reports the results of the City’s operations on an accrual basis of accounting. Revenues are recognized when earned and expenses are recognized at the time the liability is incurred.
